Stillroom
A woman lying on a treatment bed with her eyes closed while two hands massage her face.

One face at a time, for as long as it takes, which is usually seventy-five minutes

Facials in a single quiet room, by the same person every time. No upselling, no shelf of jars by the door, and an honest word if you do not need anything at all.

Three treatments, nothing more

Every one starts with ten minutes of talking.

A woman with long pink nails touching her cheek, holding a frosted glass bottle.

75 minutes

The first facial

We look at your skin in daylight, talk about what you already use and do a slow, gentle treatment so you can see how your skin answers.

£85

Smooth black stones laid along a woman's back on a treatment bed, white orchids beside her.

90 minutes

Facial and warm stones

The same facial with a long back and shoulder massage using warm basalt stones first. For the people who carry their week in their neck.

£110

Close up of hands pressing a pump bottle and rubbing lotion into the palm.

45 minutes

The return visit

Six to eight weeks after the first. Shorter, because by now we both know what your skin likes and what it does not.

£60

A stone bath scattered with pink petals and marigold flowers, rolled towels and small bottles on the ledge.

Hello, I'm Noor

I trained in a big spa and spent eight years doing six facials a day, each in fifty minutes, each ending at the retail shelf. Stillroom is the opposite: one room above a florist, four clients a day, and the only product I will ever suggest is one you already own.

If your skin is doing something that needs a doctor rather than a facialist, I will say so on the first visit and not charge you for the rest.

What to know first

The forty-eight hours afterwards

That evening

Often a little pink and blotchy. This is the moment people judge the treatment, and the worst one to do it.

Next morning

Calmer. Wash with water only, no make-up until lunch if you can bear it.

Day two

This is what the facial looks like. Take the photograph now if you want one.

If it isn't

Text me. Any redness still there on day three, I want to know, and I will call back the same day.

Thick white cream swept across a white surface, close up. An open glass jar of white cream hovering above a grey stone, its lid floating over it. A hand with a trail of white cream across the back of it against a soft pink background.

Before you book

Book by text or phone. I answer between treatments, so give me an hour.

Text to book
Come without make-up if you can
If not, no matter; I have cleanser. It just gives us ten more minutes.
Tell me about anything you take
Retinoids, acne treatments, anything for the skin from a doctor. Some change what I can safely do.
Not in the week before a big day
Weddings, photographs, interviews: book two weeks ahead, not two days.
Cancelling
Free up to a day before. Later than that I charge half, because the slot usually stays empty.
