Interiors for studios, one-bedroom flats and narrow houses

Every room I design does two jobs, and every object in it has to earn its place.

Discover the studio
A white studio room with a raised loft bed over a desk and storage cubes.

The art of the small room

I start with what a home has to do, not what it has to look like. Sleep, work, cook, store, have friends over. Then we find the space for each, often in places you walk past every day.

Client words
Hamish & Lin

"We were about to move because we thought we had run out of space. Inés found us a second bedroom in a cupboard."

A sparse white room with a small desk, folding chairs and a mini fridge.

Before your first consultation

A small flat with a round white table, pink chairs and a daybed under a line drawing.

Measure the awkward bits

The sloping ceiling, the boiler cupboard, the gap beside the fridge. The awkward spaces are usually where the answer is.

Potted plants on a dark windowsill looking out over city buildings.

Photograph every wall

In daylight, standing in each corner. Twenty quick phone photos tell me more than one tidy one.

A small bedroom with a single bed under a window and soft blue accents.

List what stays

The grandmother's chair, the bike, the piano. Tell me what cannot go, and we design around it. A first visit is £90.
