Most analytics tools answer a thousand questions nobody running a small website asks. Hush answers six: how many people, which pages, from where, on what, for how long, and compared with last week.

What we count, and what we never do

Counted

+The page someone opened, and the one they opened next
+The website that sent them, if their browser says so
+Phone, tablet or computer, and nothing more specific
+The country, worked out and then forgotten
+A daily code that changes at midnight, so today's visitors are counted once

Never counted

−Cookies, of any kind, for any reason
−IP addresses, stored or sent anywhere
−Anything that follows a person from one day to the next
−Names, emails or what anyone typed into a form
−Your numbers, sold, shared or used to train anything

Before you switch

Do I still need a cookie banner?: Not for Hush. If your site has other things that set cookies, those still need one; we will not pretend otherwise.

Will my numbers drop?: Usually a little, because we do not count bots and we do not count the same person twice in a day. The number you see is closer to people.

Can I bring my old numbers?: Send us a spreadsheet of monthly totals and we put them on the chart as a grey line. Nothing finer than that.

What happens after thirty days?: We email once. If you do nothing, counting stops and your numbers are deleted after another thirty days.

How do I leave?: Download everything as a spreadsheet, press delete, and it is gone from our servers within a day, backups within a week.

Is there a contract?: Monthly, cancel any time. Pay for a year and you get two months free, refunded pro rata if you leave early.
