Hook
A person lifting a framed print into place on a white wall already hung with other frames. A whole wall covered edge to edge with black and white photographs in thin wooden frames. A woman in a gingham shirt straightening a framed photograph among others on a pale wall.
Wooden and black frames of sea and landscape photographs hung close together on a dark wall. Built-in shelves with coloured vases above a framed painting of a figure in blue. Two framed prints, a small shelf of plants and a camera hung together on a white wall.
An ornate silver frame and a black frame with two round prints hung side by side. A hand pressing the corner of a dark frame flat against the wall to check it is level. Framed prints and a map leaning against a white wall next to a chair, waiting to be hung. Bright abstract posters in gold and black frames hung in a loose row.

We hang the pictures you have been leaning against the wall since you moved in

Two of us, a laser level and a roll of brown paper. We lay every frame out on your floor, trace the arrangement onto paper, tape it to the wall so you can look at it for a cup of tea, and only then drill. Most walls take half a day.

Ornate gilt frames of different sizes leaning against a wall, one holding a painting of a lighthouse. Empty gilt frames of different sizes hung overlapping on a grey-blue wall.
Small gilt frames, a painted mirror and a portrait hung loosely on a dark wall above a leather sofa.

Before we come

Get everything down from the loft

We plan with what is in the room. The picture you find the week after will not fit, and it always turns up.

Tell us what the wall is made of

Brick, plasterboard or lath and plaster. If you don't know, knock on it and describe the sound on the phone; that is usually enough.

Clear a patch of floor

About the size of the wall. The layout is done on the floor first, and it is the part people enjoy most.

What we won't hang

Anything over 40 kilos, anything over a bath, and televisions. For those you want a builder, and we can give you a name.
