Four nights a week of stand-up, under a street that has no idea

TuesdayNew stuff

Eight comics trying jokes that might not work

Five minutes each, material under a month old, hosted by whoever lost the coin toss. Some of it will be terrible. That is the point, and it is why it costs a fiver.

A single microphone on a stand in a dark, empty room.

ThursdayThe club

Rhian Oduya, Mo Castell, Pip Harrow

With Dee Lockhart, Sammy Varga, Ines Obi and the host, Tom Ferrand. Three headliners who have all sold out bigger rooms than this and come back because it is the only room where they can hear every laugh.

£14 · doors 19:30

A comic in a black t-shirt mid-gesture in front of a red curtain, microphone in hand.

FridayThe club

Kay Brennock, Alfie Dunmore, Nadia Rees

With Jonty Pell, Maru Aziz, Beth Colley and the host, Tom Ferrand. The late show starts at 22:15 and is the same line-up in a different order, with less patience.

£16 · two shows, 19:30 and 22:15

A whole hour from one person

A finished show, usually on its way to somewhere bigger. This month: Grace Allingham, "Everything My Nan Got Wrong", previewing before the Edinburgh run.

Before you book

Everything people email us about the morning after, in one place.

The front row

Will be talked to. If you would rather not be, say so when you book and we seat you at the back. Nobody gets dragged on stage.

Phones in pouches

Sealed at the door, opened at the bar. Comics try new jokes here and they do not want them on the internet by Friday.

Eighteen and over

Every night, with ID. The bar is the reason, and so is most of the material.

If you are late

We seat you between acts, not during one. Tickets are not refundable but can be moved to another night until 17:00.

Heckle is a fictional example. The club, the comics, the shows and the prices do not exist, and any resemblance to a real comedian's name is accidental. Photographs are stock images and were not taken at this club.
