Round hay bales scattered across a cut field on rolling hills, with trees and a pond in the distance.

Accounts for farms, done at your kitchen table after milking.

Three accountants who only keep the books of farms. We come to you twice a year, we know what a single farm payment and a milk cheque look like, and nobody has to drive to town in lambing.

Every quarter

VAT, quarter by quarter

Send us a photo of the receipts book or leave the box by the back door. We file the return, tell you the figure a week before it is due, and flag the feed bill you forgot to claim.

Harvest and lambing

Payroll for seasonal hands

Pickers for six weeks, a shepherd for lambing, a student for the summer. We set them up, pay them on time and file what has to be filed — so you can hire on a Monday and pay on a Friday.

When the scheme opens

Grants and subsidy claims

Hedges, ponds, soil cover, new equipment. We read the scheme rules so you do not have to, fill in the forms with you on the farm, and keep a copy of every map and photo the inspector might ask for.

After harvest

The year-end accounts

Stock, machinery, herd values and the overdraft, on one page you can show the bank. We sit down with you, go through it line by line, and tell you what the next year looks like if prices hold — and if they don't.

One fixed fee for the whole year

From £1,850 a year

For a family farm with one business and up to four staff. It includes:

  • two visits to the farm
  • four VAT returns
  • the accounts and the tax return
  • phone calls, however many

What to have ready

A long, low barn in the middle of a wide golden field, with a line of trees and water on the horizon.

Before the year end

Black and white cows grazing on a dry hillside pasture with scattered trees.

The herd count

Head of stock on the last day of the year, written down that day, not remembered in March.

Green fields and hedges rolling towards hills under a blue sky with white clouds.

The land letters

Rent, scheme agreements and anything from the agency. Unopened is fine; we will open them.

A gravel farm track running beside a wooden fence under tall trees.

The machinery list

What you bought, what you sold, and what is sitting in the hedge waiting for parts.

A red barn with a white roof and a silo behind a harvested field, power lines overhead.

The receipts box

In any order. Sorting them is our job; losing them is the only thing that costs you.

What we never need to see: a spreadsheet you made to impress us. The diary on the kitchen wall and the bank statements tell us more.
