Dose Pharmacy

An independent chemist that still knows your name

Nineteen years on the parade, one pharmacist, and a quiet room for the questions you don't want to ask at the counter.

What we do A pharmacist in a white coat showing a bottle of tablets to an older woman at the counter.

This month

A pharmacist reaching for a box on a tall shelf of medicines.

Every Tuesday

Flu jabs, no appointment

Blister packs of tablets and capsules spread across a table.

By appointment

A review of everything you take

Orange and white capsules spilling from a bottle onto an orange background.

Saturday mornings

Blood pressure checks, free

We are the chemist you ring when the surgery is closed and the rash is spreading, when the new tablets make you dizzy, or when you simply want someone to read the leaflet with you. That is most of the job, and it is the part we like.

What we do

Prescriptions

Handed in, sent from the surgery or repeated automatically. Ready the same day.

Green and white capsules spilling from an orange prescription bottle.

Delivery up the hill

Free to Hill Road, Rise and the Crescent, Tuesdays and Fridays.

Metal shelves full of boxed medicines in a stock room.

Minor illnesses

Sore throats, earache, cystitis, rashes — advice and treatment without a GP appointment.

A mix of white, blue and gold tablets and capsules.

Weekly packs

All your tablets sorted by day and time, for anyone who takes more than four.

Round white tablets scattered on a blue background.

Before you come in

For a new prescription

Nothing — the surgery sends it. Bring your exemption card if you have one.

The quiet room

Ask for it at the counter, no reason needed. It has a door that closes.

What we can answer

Anything about a medicine, and whether something needs a doctor. What we can't, we'll say, and tell you where to go.
